Kehadiran kaum homoseksual di Indonesia masih belum bisa diterima. Bentuk penolakan ini bila diinternalisasi dapat mempengaruhi harga diri seseorang. Sedangkan harga diri adalah sebuah
komponen penting untuk kesehatan mental seseorang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat perbedaan dalam diri
harga diri pria heteroseksual dan homoseksual di Indonesia. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seksual
kelompok minoritas (homoseksual) memiliki harga diri yang lebih rendah daripada heteroseksual. Subjek
Dalam penelitian ini adalah pria heteroseksual dan homoseksual usia 20-40 tahun. Harga diri adalah
diukur menggunakan Coopersmith Self-Esteem Inventory. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa homoseksual
Pria memiliki harga diri yang jauh lebih rendah daripada laki-laki heteroseksual.
