Karya tulis ini dimasudkan sebagai laporan atas Kuliah Kerja Praktek yang penulis lakukan di Humas Polda Metro Jaya.
Laporan ini membahas apa yang penulis lakukan selama melakukan praktek kerja lapangan yaitu memilah milah berita dari surat kabar untuk dibuat kliping Polda Metro Jaya, mengikuti sosialisasi yang dilakukan humas Polda yang bekerjasama dengan ditlantas tentang keselamatan berlalu lintas, mengadakan kunjungan keberbagai media serta menberikan informasi kepada media dengan mengadakan press release.
Berdasarkan apa yang penulis lakukan selama praktik kerja, disimpulkan bahwa keberhasilan polri dalam menyampaikan informasi kepada masyarakat juga karena adanya bantuan dari media yang menjadi jembatan antara polri dengan masyarakat. Penulis juga memberikan saran untuk pembuatan press release sebaikan dilakukan oleh humas polda sebagaimana fungsinya.
