GAMBARAN PERILAKU HYGIENE IBU DAN KEJADIAN DIARE PADA BALITA DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS GROGOL PETAMBURAN TAHUN 2018

Diarrheal diseases are still a public health problem in developing countries such as Indonesia, because of their high morbidity and mortality, especially among children under five. This research is aimed to determine the distribution of maternal hygiene and sanitation behavior and the incidence of diarrhea in children aged 1-3 years. This Research uses was descriptive and data collection with primary data using a questionnaire. Sample of this research is mother who have toddler age 1-3 year living In Working Area Health Center Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta which amounted to 65 respondents. The sampling technique used is Incidental Sampling. As a results of were obtained from 65 respondents, there were 29 (44.6%) poor hygiene behavior and 39 (55.4%) had good hygiene behavior. Behavior 61.5% of mothers rarely wash hands with soap before breast-feeding and 60% of mothers rarely wash their hands after washing ompol. But 70.85 mothers always cut the nails 2 weeks. As for the incidence of diarrhea, found that 26 (40%) who did not expe rience diarrhea and 39 (60%) toddlers 1-3 years experienced diarrhea. The conclusion is that most of the mothers in Puskesmas Grogol Petamburan have good hygiene behavior and some of the bad ones.
