Mata kuliah Bioteknologi Kedokteran merupakan mata kuliah wajib di Program Studi Bioteknologi, dengan berladaskan pada ilmu Bioteknologi dan ilmu Kedokteran. Mahasiswa Program Studi Bioteknologi wajib mempelajari segala hal yang berkaitan dengan Kesehatan, tubuh manusia, penyakit dan mikroba, serta berbagai kemajuan teknologi di bidang diagnosis, terapi dan preventif terhadap penyakit. Pada Mata Kuliah Bioteknologi Kedokteran ini, akan dibahas dari mulai sejarah perkembangan bioteknologi kedokteran, Berbagai permasalahan di bidang Kesehatan dan tantangan Bioteknologi, Kemajuan Bioteknologi Kedokteran di Indonesia, Perkembangan Teknologi Diagnosis di bidang Bioteknologi Kedokteran (1): teknologi elisa, PCR, ekspresi protein, Teknologi Diagnosis, Preventif dan Terapi dengan cara stem cell, rekayasa genetika dan rekayasa jaringan, serta kemajuan Bioteknologi Kedokteran d bidang fertilisasi. Topik mata kuliah Bioteknologi Kedokteran ini terbagi menjadi 2 bagian, yakni bagian ke-1 terdiri dari topik-topik tentang sejarah bioteknologi, kemajuan bioteknologi di Indonesoa, upaya preventif melalui teknik diagnosis yang diselesaikan sebelum ujian tengah semester (UTS), sedangkan topik-topik tentang upaya preventif dan terapi diselenggarakan setelah UTS atau sebelum ujian akhir semester (UAS).
