Kemajuan Teknologi Informasi pada saat ini sangat membantu kehidupan masyarakat baik dalam dunia bisnis, pendidikan, teknologi dan juga kedokteran. Kemajuan teknologi dan pendidikan sangat didominasi oleh penduduk perkotaan sahaja sehingga penduduk pedesaan bisa jadi tertinggal bahkan jauh dari pengetahuan yang ada di perkotaan. Untuk mengurangi Gap Teknologi yang terjadi antara desa dan kota, perlu dilakukan pendokumentasian pengetahuan yang baik yang dimiliki oleh para pakar di perkotaan sehingga pengetahuan-pengetahuan tersebut dapat dinikmati para penduduk pedesaaan melalui Teknologi Informasi yang ada. Perlu dibangun Sistem Pakar dalam menyelesaikan masalah ini dengan menggunakan Depth-First Search sehingga kebutuhan gizi yang diperlukan anak sekolah dasar dapat diketahui berdasarakan kebutuhannya. Dari hasil penelitian ini para orangtua dapat mengetahui informasi tentang kebutuhan asupan gizi yang diperlukan dan menghasilkan generasi masa depan yang lebih baik dan siap untuk menyongsong masa depannya.

Now, advances in information technology is helping people s lives whether in business, education, technology and also medical. Technological and educational advances are heavily dominated by urban populations alone so that rural residents are lagging far behind the existing level of urban knowledge. To reduce the technological gap between rural and urban areas, it is necessary to document good knowledge by urban experts so that the knowledge can be enjoyed by the rural population through existing Information Technology. Expert System should be built in solving this problem by using Depth-First Search so that the nutritional needs of children at elementary school can be known based on their needs. From the results of the study, parents can find out information about the necessary nutritional intake required and make better future generations and ready for the future.
