Description:

Kersen (Muntingia calabura L.) dan katuk (Sauropus androgynus (L.) Merr.) merupakan tanaman yang tersebar luas di Indonesia. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui berapa besar aktivitas antioksidan kombinasi dari ekstrak etanol daun kersen dan ekstrak etanol daun katuk. Bahan uji yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah daun segar kersen (Muntingia calabura L.) yang diperoleh dari pohon kersen di Jagakarsa, Jakarta Selatan dan daun segar katuk (Sauropus androgynus (L.) Merr.) yang diperoleh dari tumbuhan katuk di Desa Binong, Kabupaten Subang, Jawa Barat. Ekstrak dilakukan dengan metode maserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol 70%. Aktivitas antioksidan dari kombinasi daun kersen (Muntingia calabura L.) dan katuk (Sauropus androgynus (L.) Merr.) dilakukan dengan metode DPPH (1,1-Difenil-2-Pikrilhidrazil) dengan vitamin C sebagai pembandingnya. Hasil uji aktivitas antioksidan ekstrak etanol daun kersen, ekstrak etanol daun katuk dan kombinasi ekstrak ketiganya memiliki aktivitas antioksidan dengan IC 50 berturut-turut 22,872�g/ml;147,397�g/ml;229,733�g/ml. Hasil uji total flavonoid dari ekstrak etanol daun kersen dan ekstrak daun katuk menggunakan Spektrofotometri Uv-Vis dengan panjang gelombang 510 nm adalah berturut-turut 5,653 mg/g kuersetin equivalen dan 2,340 mg/g kuersetin equivalen. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa ekstrak etanol masing-masing daun mempunyai potensi aktivitas antioksidan. Ekstrak etanol daun kersen merupakan ekstrak yang paling berpotensi sebagai antioksidan kuat dibanding ekstrak etanol daun katuk dan kombinasinya.

Kersen (Muntingia calabura L.) and katuk (Sauropus androgynus (L.) Merr.) are widespread plants in Indonesia. The purpose of this research is to find out how much antioxidant activity from combination ethanol extract of kersen leaves and ethanol extract of katuk leaves. The test materials used in this research are fresh leaves of kersen (Muntingia calabura L.) obtained from kersen trees in Jagakarsa, South Jakarta and fresh leaves of katuk (Sauropus androgynus (L.) Merr.) Obtained from katuk plants in Binong Village, Subang district, West Java province. Each extract was done by maceration method using 70% ethanol solvent. The antioxidant activity of the combination of kersen leaves (Muntingia calabura L.) and katuk (Sauropus androgynus (L.) Merr.) was performed by DPPH (1,1Diphenyl-2-Pikrilhidrazil) method with vitamin C as a comparison. Test result of antioxidant activity from ethanol extract of kersen leaves, ethanol extract of katuk leaves and combination of extracts have antioxidant activity with IC50 respectively 22,782 μg/ml; 147,397μg/ml; 229,733 μg/ml. The results of the flavonoids test from ethanol extract of kersen leaves and ethanol extract of katuk leaves using Spectrophotometric Uv-Vis with absorbance 510 nm were respectively 5,653 mg/g quersetin equivalent and 2,340 mg/g quersetin equivalent. The results showed that the ethanol extract of each leaf has the potential of antioxidant activity. Ethanol extract of kersen leaves is the most potent as a powerful antioxidant compared with ethanol extract of katuk leaves and that combination.
