Description:

To determine differences Schroth method alone with the combination of Schroth method and Sustained Natural Apophyseal Glides (SNAGs) to the thoracic curve in hyperkyphosis case. Methods: This study was a quasi experiment with the pre-test and post-test design, where a change in the degree of the hyperkyphosis curve measured using flexible ruler. The sample consisted of 16 students of Esa Unggul University, and divided into two groups. The first treatment group (n=8) with Schroth method, and the second treatment group (n=8) with combination SNAGs and Schroth method. Results: Using paired sample t-test, the were significant change for both groups with p value 0.001 for each groups. However, after compared both groups using independent sample t-test, p value=0.658. Conclusion: There was no significant difference in the effect of the addition of SNAGs on Schroth method for change the thoracic curve for subjects with hyperkyphosis.
