Description:

Objective : To find out, difference of agility between the players in small man and big man basketball position. Methods : This study employed a 2 x 2 factorial design. The sampling technique used was purposive random sampling, with the sample size of 40 persons. The sample consisted of 10 persons with small man player position given agility drill, 10 persons with small man player position given agility drill and neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES), 10 people with big man players who were given agility drill training, 10 persons with big man player position given agility drill and neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES). Techniques of analyzing data used were variance analysis and Newman Keuls range test, at significance level of 5%. Result : Normality test on Lilliefors test is normally distributed, homogeneity test on Bartlet Test has homogeneous variant. The result in the first hypothesis testing found Fstatistic = 83.421 > Ftable = 4.11, meaning that null hypothesis (Ho) was not supported. The second hypothesis testing found Fstatistic = 6.399 > Ftable = 4.11, meaning that null hypothesis (Ho) was not supported. The third hypothesis testing found Fstatistic = 23.881> Ftable = 4.11, meaning that null hypothesis (Ho) was not supported. Conclusion: There was a significant difference of agility between basketball players with small man position and those with big man position.
