Description:

Tujuan: Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan keseimbangan postural dengan kemampuan berjalan pada pasien stroke hemiparesis. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian cross sectional dengan teknik observasi analitik. Sampel penelitian adalah pasien stroke hemiparesis di RS Hermina Ciputat yang berjumlah 30 orang dengan rentang usia 40-75 tahun. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive random sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan untuk keseimbangan postural yaitu Berg Balance Scale (BBS) dan mengukur kemampuan berjalan adalah Time Up And Go test (TUG). Hasil: Hasil uji normalitas dengan Shapiro Wilk test didapatkan data tidak terdistribusi normal dan hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan Spearman correlation test, didapatkan nilai p<0,001 (p<0,05) dengan r=-0,867. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat korelasi negatif antara keseimbangan postural dengan kemampuan berjalan dengan kekuatan korelasi yang sangat kuat. Kesimpulan: Semakin tinggi nilai keseimbangan postural maka semakin baik kemampuan berjalan, khususnya pada pasien stroke hemiparesis. Terdapat korelasi antara keseimbangan postural yang diukur dengan BBS dan kemampuan berjalan yang diukur dengan TUG, dengan kekuatan korelasi yang sangat kuat.
