FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG BERHUBUNGAN DENGAN SAFETY DRIVING PADA PENGEMUDI BUS AKAP

Safety driving is the basis for further driving training that pays more attention to safety for drivers and passengers. In the Global Status Report on Road Safety of the World Health Organization it is stated that road traffic accidents cause the death of approximately 1.35 million people worldwide every year . In Indonesia, based on data from the Indonesian National Police (POLRI), there were 107,500 accidents and 1034 bus units involved in traffic accidents. The AKAP bus for the Jakarta - Yogyakarta route is one of the buses at Pulo Gebang Terminal with departures at night and has several route points that are prone to traffic accidents or blackspots. This study aims to analyze the factors associated with the safety driving behavior of AKAP bus drivers for the Jakarta-Yogyakarta route in 2020. The type of research used is quantitative with a cross sectional study design. The population of AKAP bus drivers for the Jakarta-Yogyakarta route at Pulo Gebang Terminal is 40 drivers and the sample used is 40 drivers with total sampling technique. The data were analyzed using the Chi Square test with the results showing that there is a relationship between safety driving knowledge (p-value 0.003), driving training (p-value 0.001) with safety driving behavior. And there is no relationship between driving experience (p-value 1,000) with safety driving behavior. Therefore, safety driving knowledge and driving training are needed to 1 improve safety driving behavior.
