Di Indonesia penyelenggaraan pelayanan radiologi umumnya dan radiologi diagnostik khususnya telah dilaksanakan di berbagai sarana pelayanan kesehatan, mulai dari sarana pelayanan kesehatan sederhana,
seperti puskesmas dan klinik-klinik swasta, maupun sarana pelayanan kesehatan yang berskala besar seperti rumah sakit kelas A (Kemenkes, 2008). Perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi yang terjadi dewasa ini telah memungkinkan berbagai penyakit dapat dideteksi dengan menggunakan fasilitas radiologi diagnostik yaitu pelayanan yang menggunakan radiasi
pengion dan non pengion (Kemenkes, 2008).
