Description:
Menurut Undang-Undang Nomor 44 Tahun 2009 tentang Rumah Sakit menyebutkan bahwa rumah sakit adalah institusi pelayanan kesehatan yang menyelenggarakan pelayanan kesehatan perorangan secara paripurna (meliputi promotif, preventif, kuratif, dan rehabilitatif) dengan menyediakan pelayanan rawat inap, rawat jalan, dan gawat darurat. Rumah sakit umum, dalam UU tersebut didefinisikan sebagai rumah sakit yang memberikan pelayanan kesehatan untuk semua bidang dan jenis penyakit. Sementara rumah sakit khusus adalah rumah sakit yang memberikan pelayanan utama pada satu bidang atau jenis penyakit tertentu berdasarkan disiplin ilmu, golongan umur, organ, jenis penyakit, atau kekhususan lainnya (Depkes, 2009).
