Karakteristik dan kinerja karyawan unit rekam medis merupakan salah satu komponen penting yang harus di perhatikan dalam penyelenggaran rekam medis di RSUD dr.Chasbullah Abdulmadjid Bekasi guna tercapainya mutu pelayanan rekam medis. Tujuan umum penelitian ini Mengetahui kontribusi karakteristik terhadap kinerja karyawan unit rekam medis RSUD dr. Chasbullah Abdulmadjid Bekasi. Metode dalam penelitian ini dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, desain penelitian crosssectional menggunakan uji fisher exact dan uji t independen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa umur karyawan rata-rata 30 tahun, jenis kelamin laki-laki 50,9%, pendidikan terakhir SMA 43,4%, latar belakang pendidikan non rekam medis 77%, lama kerja rata-rata 7 tahun, pengetahuan kurang sebanyak 58,5%, dan 83,0% tidak pernah mengikuti pelatihan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dari seluruh karakteristik yang diuji yaitu umur, lama kerja, jenis kelamin, pendidikan terakhir, latar belakang pendidikan, pelatihan, dan pengetahuan, hanya variabel latar belakang pendidikan yang terbukti signifikan (Pvalue 0,043) berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan unit rekam medis di Unit Rekam Medis RSUD Chasbullah Abdulmadjid.

The characteristics and performance of the employees of the medical record unit are one of the important components that must be completed in conducting medical records at RSUD dr .Chasbullah Abdulmadjid Bekasi in order to achieve the quality of medical record services.. The research method using quantitative, cross-sectional research design using fisher exact test and independent t test. The results showed the fact that the average age was 30 years, male sex was 50.9%, senior high school education was 43.4%, non-medical record background education was 77%, average length of work was 7 years, lack of knowledge was 58 , 5%, and 83.0% never attended training. Based on the results of the study, from the results of age, length of work, gender, recent education, educational background, training, and knowledge, only the educational background variables that proved significant (Value 0.043) affected the performance of the RSUD Medical Record Unit records at RSUD dr .Chasbullah Abdulmadjid.
