HUBUNGAN ANTARA KEBIASAAN MENCUCI TANGAN DENGAN KEJADIAN DERMATITIS KONTAK PADA PEKERJA CLEANING

Contact dermatitis caused by substances or substances attached to the skin. Dermatitis is caused by factors that are in the work environment such as chemicals and personal hygiene. Occurrence of occupational dermatitis due to the second most work after musculosekeletal occurs about 22%. This research is a quantitative study, using cross sectional study. This research was conducted in June 2019 with a total sample of 125 people using total sampling techniques. The variables in this study were hand washing habits and the incidence of contact dermatitis. The aim is to determine the relationship between handwashing habits and dermatitis among cleaning service workers at the North Jakarta Mayor Office in 2019. Data collection uses instruments that contain doctors examination sheets and questionnaire sheets. The results of the study showed that workers who did contact dermatitis were 65 workers (52%). Based on the results of the statistical test analysis, it was found that there was a relationship between hand washing habits and contact dermatitis (p = 0,000) and the OR value was 3.129. The conclusion is the habit of washing hands that can overcome the problem of dermatitis in cleaning workers. To minimize the risk of contact dermatitis, it is recommended that workers practice hand washing after work.
