Studi empiris kebijakan moneter ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauhmana
pengaruh nilai tukar Rp./US$, suku bunga SBI dan uang beredar (M1) terhadap
pertumbuhan ekonomi (PDB) yang berlangsung di Indonesia. Pada dasarnya, kebijakan
moneter merupakan alat untuk mengelola makroekonomi. Sasaran kebijakan moneter
adalah meningkatnya PDB supaya mencapai tingkat potensialnya, terkendalinya laju
inflasi, dan rendahnya tingkat pengangguran.
