PENGEMBANGAN ALAT TRANSPORTASI KELAPA SAWIT YANG DAPAT MEMBANTU MENGEFESIENSIKAN WAKTU DALAM PROSES PEMANENAN

Minyak sawit adalah salah satu minyak yang paling banyak dikonsumsi dan diproduksi di dunia. Minyak yang murah, mudah diproduksi dan sangat stabil ini digunakan untuk berbagai variasi makanan, kosmetik, produk kebersihan, dan juga bisa digunakan sebagai sumber biofuel atau biodiesel. Pada tahun 2016 lalu, Indonesia menghasilkan sekitar 36 juta ton kelapa sawit yang menempatkan negara ini menjadi penghasil kelapa sawit terbesar di dunia. menggeser posisi negara penghasil kelapa sawit lainnya. Namun persoalannya proses pemanenan yang ada saat ini masih tergolong tradisional di karenakan alat bantu yang di gunakan juga masih sangat tradisional seperti menggunakan angkong maupun pikulan, hal ini berpengaruh pada kurang efesiennya waktu serta SDM pada saat proses pemanenan kelapa sawit. Sedangkan proses pemanenan kelapa sawit dapat di lakukan sepanjang tahun.Lahan yang bertopografi rawa atau rendahan, bisa berbukit dan bergelombang, termasuk kondisi infrastruktur jalan yang buruk mengakibatkan proses transportasi tandan buah segar (TBS) sawit kerap terkendala. Sebab itu dibutuhkan satu sistem transportasi yang jitu.
