Fenomena kehidupan perempuan bekerja khususnya di Jakarta, dewasa ini semakin meningkat. Perempuan bekerja ada yang menikah dan belum menikah. Tingginya jumlah perempuan dewasa yang belum menikah telah menarik perhatian beberapa ahli terhadap kesejahteraan psikologis atau Psychological Well Being. Kesejahteraan psikologis merupakan suatu kondisi tertinggi yang dapat dicapai individu secara optimal, yang terbagi dalam enam dimensi, yaitu: dimensi penerimaan diri, dimensi otonomi, dimensi penguasaan lingkungan, dimensi pertumbuhan pribadi, dimensi tujuan hidup, dimensi hubungan positif dengan orang lain.
