Description:

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk penentuan keseimbangan lintasan optimal dengan menggunakan metode heuristik, dengan objek penelitian pada sebuah proses perakitan salah satu komponen kendaraan bermotor di PT.CSI agar menghasilkan keluaran secara optimal, sehingga dapat mencapai sasaran secara tepat waktu, tepat jumlah, tepat mutu dengan biaya yang lebih effisien. Metode yang akan digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode heuristik keseimbangan lintasan. Metode ini menggunakan aturan-aturan yang logis dalam memecahkan masalah. Metode heuristik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu: Metode Helgesson-Birnie/Ranked Positional Weight (RPW), Metode Largest Candidate Rule dan Metode J-Wagon. Model heuristik tidak menjamin hasil optimal, tetapi model ini dirancang untuk menghasilkan strategi yang relatif lebih baik dengan mengacu pada pembatas-pembatas tertentu. Penelitian ini bermanfaat sebagai bahan pertimbangan dalam melakukan perubahan untuk perbaikan lintasan, karena dalam penelitian ini akan membandingkan beberapa metode yang terdapat dalam metode heuristik keseimbangan lintasan. Target luaran yang ingin dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah penentuan metode keseimbangan lintasan yang optimal berdasarkan nilai peningkatan nilai efisiensi lintasan dan pengurangan waktu menganggur. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat diketahui bahwa ketiga metode heuristik yang digunakan menghasilkan keluaran potensial yang sama-sama optimal yaitu efisiensi lini sebesar 85,20%, balanced delay sebesar 14,80%, dan total waktu menganggur sebesar 340,76 detik dengan jumlah stasiun kerja sebesar 8 stasiun kerja. Dengan menggunakan metode heuristik keseimbangan lintasan, terjadi peningkatan efisiensi sebesar 59,17%, dan penurunan balanced delay sebesar 65,17%, serta pengurangan total waktu menganggur sebesar 5238,6 detik. Beberapa saran yang dapat diberikan dalam penelitian ini antara lain: untuk penelitian selanjutnya agar menggunakan metode keseimbangan lintasan yang lain agar dapat diketahui perbandingan hasil keluaran potensialnya. Untuk PT. CSI agar melakukan perbaikan terhadap lintasan perakitannya sesuai dengan hasil perhitungan keseimbangan lintasan.

This research aims to determine the optimal line balancing using heuristic methods, with the object of the research in an automotive component assembly process at PT.CSI, in order to produce optimal output, so it can be achieve the objectives in a timely manner, the right quantity, right quality and cost more efficiently. The method used in this research is line balancing heuristic methods. This method uses logical rules in solving problems. Heuristic methods that used in this research are: Helgesson-Birnie Method/Ranked Positional Weight (RPW), Largest Candidate Rule Method dan J-Wagon Method. Heuristic model does not guarantee optimal results, but this model is designed to produce a relatively better strategy with reference to certain constraints. The benefit of this research for consideration in making changes to repair lines, because in this study will compare several methods contained in line balancing heuristic methods. Target outcomes to be achieved in this research is the determination of the optimal line balancing method based on the value of the increase in the value of line efficiency and idle time reduction. From this research it can be know that the three heuristic methods are used, resulting potential output are equally optimal, the line efficiency is 85,20%, balanced delay is 14,80%, and total idle time is 340,76 seconds with the number of work stations is 8 work stations. By using the heuristic methods of line balancing, there was an increase in efficiency is 59,17%, and a decrease in balanced delay is 65,17%, and a total reduction of idle time is 5238,6 seconds. Some advices that can be given in this study are: to further research in order to use other line balancing methods to gain more knowledge of the output potential ratio. For PT. CSI, in order to make improvements to the assembling lines in accordance the result of computation of line balancing.
