FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG BERHUBUNGAN DENGAN PERILAKU SAFETY RIDING PADA MAHASISWA UNIVERSITAS X TAHUN 2021

Safety riding is a program that aims to reduce the number of traffic accidents, the impact of not behaving in safety riding is a lack of knowledge, skills and bad behavior when driving. based on a preliminary survey at University X, it was found that 10 students (50%) did not behave in safety riding, unsafe behavior that students usually did was not checking the vehicle, not carrying a driver s license and not checking fuel. This study aims to determine the factors related to safety riding behavior in University X students in 2021. This study used a cross sectional design with a sample size of 117 students, the sampling technique used the purposive sampling method with bivariate data analysis using the Chi-square test. The study was conducted in April 2021. The highest proportion of univariate results were students who did not behave in safety riding (55.6%), poor knowledge (50.4%), bad attitude (53.8%), male gender (61.5 %), have a driving license (63.2%). There is a relationship between knowledge (PR = 1.795, 95% CI = 1.257-2.564) and there is no relationship between attitudes (PR = 1.064, 95% CI = 0.767-1.476), gender (PR = 0.938, 95% CI = 0.675- 1,301), SIM ownership (PR = 0.765, 95% CI = 0.529-1.106), with safety riding behavior in students. It is hoped that every driver will be given education related to safety riding in the process of making a driver s license and students can take part in counseling or training regarding safety riding
