Description:
Objective: To determine the relationship between core stability and agility in the martial
arts. Method: The type of research used is descriptive with a cross-sectional design. The
sample for this study was made up of 61 athletes from the Padjadjaran National Cirebon.
Core stability measurements using a prone plank test with a unit of time measured using a
stopwatch and agility measurement using an illinois agility test with a unit of time
measured using a stopwatch. Results: The normality test using the Kolmogorov Smirnov
test using data from the core stability sample obtained the value of p <0.05 and the agility
value of p >0.05, then the test hypothesis was performed with the test is a nonparametric
test which Spearman rho test shows the value of p = 0.462 (p > 0.05). Thus, this shows
that H0 is accepted, which means that there is no correlation between the core stability and
agility. Conclusion: There is no relationship between core stability and agility in the
martial arts.
