Description:
This research discusses the tendency of the PSSI Extraordinary Congress (KLB)
reporting published by Indosport.com during November 2019 in their efforts to elect
a new General Chair. This study aims to determine the trend of issues, the direction
of the news, the sources they often use, to the characteristics of the messages that
Indosport.com builds on the news about the PSSI Extraordinary Congress (KLB),
using content analysis techniques with descriptive quantitative methods which means
explanation by means of describe the trend of the news. The sample taken from this
research is the news about the PSSI Extraordinary Congress (KLB) at Indosport.com
in the period of November 2019. The results of this study indicate that the struggle
for the one PSSI seat is the most prominent issue to be reported. In the issue of
seizing seats, negative directions dominate the news about the Congress, but overall,
the majority of news published by Indosport.com is news in a neutral direction. For
this type of news, soft news is the type that appears most often. In addition, the
candidates for chairman are the indicators most often used as sources, then the
majority of the news that Indosport.com publishes is the result of Indosport.com
journalists coverage, and the style of writing that is most often used is an informative
form.
