Cuci tangan pakai sabun adalah salah satu tindakan sanitasi dengan membersihkan tangan dan jari jemari menggunakan air dan sabun. Indonesia pada tahun 2013 sebanyak 49% penduduk berusia 10 tahun keatas yang melakukan cuci tangan dengan benar dengan demikian masih ada sekitar 51% masyarakat yang belum melakukan cuci tangan dengan benar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan menggunakan media audio visual terhadap tingkat kepatuhan cuci tangan pada anak usia prasekolah. Penelitian ini merupakan desain penelitian pra eksperimen dan rancangan one group pre-test-posttest. Pengambilansampeldenganpurposive sampling sebanyak 52 responden. Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa ada pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan menggunakan media audio visual terhadap tingkat kepatuhan cuci tangan pada anak usia prasekolah di kelurahan Halim 1 Kecamatan Makassar Tahun 2018 dengannilai p= 0.000. Direkomendasikan pemberian pendidikan kesehatan pada anak usia prasekolah menggunakan media audiovisual sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan kepatuhan anak

Hand washing with soap is one of the sanitary measures by cleaning hands and fingers using water and soap.Indonesia in 2013 as many as 49% of the population aged 10 years and over who washed their hands properly so there are still around 51% of the people who have not washed their hands properly. This study was to identify the effect of health education using audio visual media on the level of hand washing compliance in preschool children.This study was design a pre xperimental with one group pre-test-posttest study design.Sampling with purposive sampling as many as 52 respondents. The results of this studies was there is a statisticallysignificant effect of health education using audio visual media on the level of hand washing compliance with p = 0.000.The recommendation to using media audiovisual to increase children compliance.
