Description:

The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in energy intake, macro nutrition and nutritional status of toodlers under two years (6-24 months) who consumed formula milk and exclusive breastfeeding in Cimuning Village, Bekasi City. This type of research uses observational research with a cross sectional approach where the observation for the independent and dependent variabels are studied at the same time. The population is 1027 people with sample of 98 people. Sampling using the systematic random sampling method. The instruments used were the weight and height scales, food recall form sheets. Data analysis used non-parametric Mann-Whitney statistical test with p = 0.05. And the results showed there was no difference in the intake of energy, carbohydrates, fat and nutritional status of Toddlers under two years who consumed Formula Milk and Exclusive Breastmilk. There are differences in the protein intake of Toddlers under two years who consume Formula Milk and Exclusive Breastfeeding. Through this research, it is hoped that toddlers under two years mothers would prefer to give exclusive breastfeeding to their toddlers under two years compared to formula milk.
