GERAKAN REMAJA SEHAT DENGAN SADARI DETEKSI DINI KANKER PAYUDARA PADA REMAJA PUTRI

Breast cancer occurs due to malignancy in the breast tissue originating from the epithelium of the ducts and lobules. Symptoms that arise are usually in the form of a lump which is a malignant tumor, where breast cells will experience uncontrollable growth and development. One way that can be done to reduce the incidence of breast cancer is by using BSE techniques (breast self-examination). The current problem is that many adolescents do not know how to maintain and check the health of their own breasts, so it is necessary to do health education about breast cancer and BSE techniques with the aim of increasing adolescent knowledge and understanding of the importance of doing BSE to detect breast cancer early. The method used in this community service activity is through online counseling with power point media, question and answer discussions, and distributing booklets. The result of this community service activity is that health education provided to adolescents has proven effective in increasing adolescent knowledge and understanding of the importance of BSE techniques as early detection of breast cancer. Youth are active and enthusiastic during the activities. It is important to implement BSE techniques by adolescents not only now but regularly every month. Implementation of routine BSE examination techniques can help in overcoming early detection of breast cancer and reducing its incidence.
