Latar belakang dilaksanakan International on Seminar Global Health, Hotel Grand Aquila Bandung yaitu Globalisasi membawa banyak perubahan, dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan manusia. Berbagai manfaat dan permasalahan muncul hampir bersamaan dengan berkembangnya proses globalisasi. Salah satunya masalah kesehatan yang sebelumnya merupakan sebuah isu yang kurang bahkan tidak mendapat perhatian khusus namun saat ini isu kesehatan semakin berkembang pesat dan menjadi salah satu perhatian utama bagi negara. Globalisasi sendiri memiliki peran dalam mendorong penyebaran berbagai penyakit - penyakit seperti flu burung, Ebolla, HIV/AIDS, dan berbagai penyakit berpotensi pandemic lainnya. Disamping itu berbagai kemudahan yang dimunculkan oleh globalisasi telah memunculkan berbagai issu penyakit tiddak menular yang dipengaruhi oleh gaya hidup.
