The motif of batik ornament is an artwork in which the work uses a lot of signs or symbols, the sign or symbol is full of meaning, value and philosophy. This study aims to describe how the work process of semiotic theory on batik ornament motifs, namely analyzing signs, markers, markers and semiosis that form creative ideas (creative visuals) using the theory of semiotics Charles Sander Pierce and the construction process of batik ornament motifs on social reality using theory Umberto Ecos semiotics as a form of representation of the values contained in the cultural ideology of the message of batik ornament motifs as a shared opinion (Consesual Judgement) on batik clothes ornament motifs of employees as the identity of Esa Unggul University in Jakarta. so that it can contribute knowledge insight to academics, observers of batik ornament motifs and provide benefits to the wider community about studies that use the theory of semiotics.
