Description:

Kitolod (Isotoma longiflora (L.) Presl.) merupakan salah satu tanaman obat tradisional yang berkhasiat sebagai antikanker. Secara empiris kitolod telah digunakan sebagian masyarakat Indonesia untuk pengobatan penyakit kanker, namun masih perlu dibuktikan secara ilmiah melalui suatu penelitian. Tujuan dari penelitan ini adalah mengetahui aktivitas sitotoksik dari Ekstrak Etanol 50% Daun Kitolod pada konsentrasi 25 �g/ml, 50 �g/ml, 75 �g/ml, dan 125 �g/m terhadap sel kanker serviks (Ca Ski Cell Line) secara in-vitro menggunakan metode natural red assay. Hasil uji sitotoksik ekstrak etanol 50% daun kitolod pada sel kanker serviks (Ca Ski Cell Line) menunjukkan nilai IC sebesar 55,78 �g/ml. Ekstrak etanol 50% daun kitolod (Isotoma longiflora (L.) Presl) pada konsentrasi 25 �g/ml, 50 �g/ml, 75 �g/ml, dan 125 �g/ml mempunyai efek sitotoksik terhadap sel kanker serviks (Ca Ski Cell Line) dan Ekstrak etanol 50% daun kitolod (Isotoma longiflora (L.) Presl) pada konsentrasi 125 �g/ml menunjukkan persentase kematian sel Ca Ski yang paling besar, yaitu 72,68%.
