Metode Lean merupakan strategi yang dapat membantu rumah sakit menghilangkan hambatan dalam perawatan dan memperbaiki kinerja rumah sakit agar lebih efektif dan efisien. Dengan mengurangi waste dan waktu tunggu, metode lean dalam perawatan kesehatan menekankan pada kebutuhan pasien, keterlibatan karyawan dan perbaikan terus-menerus. Implementasi metode Lean di rumah sakit telah terbukti mengurangi biaya operasional dan meningkatkan kepuasan pasien, karena transformasi budaya yang mengubah bagaimana organisasi di dalam rumah sakit berpikir dan bekerja, para manajer harus memiliki seperangkat keterampilan untuk menerapkan metode lean di rumah sakit.
