Karya tulis ini dimaksudkan sebagai laporan atas Praktik Kerja Lapangan yang penulis lakukan di iNews TV selama dua bulan terhitung dari 13 November 2017 hingga 13 Januari 2018, yakni menyangkut Peran Produser Dalam Program Special Report Di iNews TV. Laporan ini membahas apa yang penulis lakukan selama melakukan praktik kerja, yakni meliputi aktivitas yang dilakukan oleh seorang Produser dalam proses produksi di studio. Program acara berita Special Report merupakan sebuah acara berita yang menyajikan beragam berita istimewa yang dikemas secara lebih rinci.
Selama proses praktik yang penulis lakukan, penulis melakukan berbagai aktivitas sebagai seorang asisten Produser yaitu menyusun rundown acara, membuat naskah berita, membuat CG (Control Generic) pada naskah berita, berkordinasi sebagai kordinator live report saat program berlangsung, dan Produser adalah pimpinan dalam acara siaran langsung di ruang Master control room. Berdasarkan apa yang penulis lakukan selama praktik kerja, dapat disimpulkan bahwa keberhasilan sebuah program televisi membutuhkan peran Produser yang bekerjasama antar kerabat kerja, dibawah arahan Produser terutama pada saat berlangsungnya produksi Live Program di dalam studio.
