KEBERFUNGSIAN KELUARGA DAN ASPEK-ASPEK YANG BERKONTRIBUSI TERHADAP PERILAKU KECANDUAN SMARTPHONE REMAJA DI JAKARTA

Salah satu pengguna aktif smartphone terbanyak di Indonesia adalah kalangan remaja. Pada masa remaja, mereka memiliki kebutuhan yang untuk memperoleh support, afeksi dan komunikasi yang hangat dengan anggota keluarganya. Namun demikian, beberapa remaja mengalami hambatan untuk mengekspresikan masalahnya karena merasa berjarak dengan anggota keluarganya. Remaja lebih memilih untuk memenuhi kebutuhan psikologis, emosional dan sosial dengan mengakses media sosial melalui smartphone dengan tujuan memperoleh kenyamanan, ketenangan dan kesenangan hingga menimbulkan kecanduan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah terciptanya model konseptual yaitu model keberfungsian keluarga dan aspek-aspek yang berkontribusi terhadap kecanduan smartphone pada remaja Jakarta. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif-kausal komparatif dengan teknik purposive sampling. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner yang disusun berdasarkan teori Family Assesment Device (FAD) dari Epstein, Baldwin & Bishep (1983) dengan 52 item valid dan nilai reliabilitas (α) = 0,950. Sedangkan alat ukur kecanduan smartphone menggunakan teori Smartphone Addiction Scale (SAS) dari Kwon, et.al (2013) dengan 27 item valid denga nilai reliabiltas (α) = 0,908. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan ada pengaruh negative yang signifikan Keberfungsian Keluarga Terhadap Kecanduan Smartphone Remaja di Jakarta dengan nilai signifikan (p) sebesar 0,035 (p < 0,05). Keberfungsian Keluarga memiliki kontribusi sebesar 5,1% terhadap munculnya Kecanduan Smartphone. Kecanduan smartphone yang dialami remaja Jakarta lebih banyak dalam bentuk daily-life disturbances. Selain ini, dari data menunjukkan bahwa (61,3%) remaja mengaku bahwa ibu merupakan figur yang dipilih sebagai tempat berkeluh kesah dan mayoritas (70,8%) menyatakan menggunakan smartphone di saat perasaan bosan melanda

Most of the active users of smartphone in Indonesia were adolescents. During this period of development, adolescents needed supports, affections, and warm communications with family. Nevertheless, some adolescents experienced difficulties to express their problems because they felt distance with their family. Adolescents chose to fulfill their psychological, emotional, and social needs with social media through their smartphones to gain comfort, peace, and happiness until they reached the point of addiction. The aimed of this research is to create a conceptual model of family functioness and its contributed factors to smartphone�s addiction in adolescents in Jakarta. This research used quantitative-causal comparative with purposive sampling technique. Datas were gathered through questioner that was develop from Family Asessment Device Theory from Epstein, Baldwin & Bishep (1983) with 52 valid items and reability coefficient of 0.950. The questioner for smartphone addiction used Smartphone Addiction Scale (SAS) from Kwon, et al (2013) with 27 valid item and reability coefficient of 0.908. The result of this research showed significant negative impact of family function to smartphone addiction in adolescents in Jakarta with significance value (p) of 0.035 (p < 0.05). Family functioness contributed 5.1% to smartphone addiction in adolescents in Jakarta mostly in form of daily life disturbances. This research also showed that 61.3% of the adolescents have their mother as their place to come to share their problems and majority of the subjects (70.8%) used smartphone when they were bored.
