Makanan halal merupakan suatu hal yang sangat penting untuk diperhatikan oleh masyarakat muslim Indonesia. Makanan halal harus terbebas dari kandungan babi baik sebagai bahan dasar maupun dalam proses pembuatannya. Permasalahan kehalalan timbul ketika terdapat proses pencampuran daging atau lemak babi (adulterasi) pada daging hewan halal untuk tujuan ekonomis. Kadar presentasi campuran daging babi yang kecil juga menyulitkan untuk mendeteksi dengan akurat sehingga perlu analisis yang tepat dan akurat untuk melihat kandungan material babi pada produk pangan, kecantikan maupun produk lainnya seperti gelatin babi, minyak babi, daging babi maupun ingridien lainnya yang berasal dari non hahal.
