There are numerous English study issues, particularly listening comprehension. In an educationally relevant context, TED Talks contribute to changes in how students learn and communicate, as well as improve interactions. This study explores students perceptions of using TED Talks videos in the Indonesian EFL context. The participants were 16 students from English Language Education program in the academic year 2019 at a private university in West Jakarta, Indonesia. This study presented three indicators: (1) students perception toward the process of learning through TED Talks; (2) the student s benefit toward TED Talks; (3) students challenges in learning English through TED Talks. This research applied a mixed-method study. Closed-ended questionnaires and in-depth interviews were used to collect the data. This research distributed 15 close-ended questionnaires and 21 questions for the interview session. The present study s findings indicated that most participants perceived positively using TED Talks. This medium effectively gains students interest, excitement, and motivation to learn English. TED Talks shows the English language used in real-world circumstances, and it can expand students knowledge about the speakers presentation skills. However, technical problems, inability to understand natural spoken and uninteresting topics could impede extensive listening courses.
