Description:
In its development, the services provided by the airport management must be in line with the
concept of public services based on the demands of service users which are increasingly
widespread, so that management responsibilities are required as protection for airport service
users. Based on the background of the research above, the writer got an idea or idea to write
a thesis that raised the title "Protection of Airport Service Users Against Waiting Services
Provided by Airport Managers in Terms of Law No. 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer
Protection". This study uses a legal writing method by collecting data related to the problem
then analyzed the problem. The approach method is empirical research conducted with
primary data in the form of library studies, field observations and interviews, data analysis
using qualitative data. Based on the problems raised, it can be concluded that in the provision
of services in the waiting room must be in accordance with service standards set by the law
relating to the protection of service users and public services. If there is a dispute over the
poor waiting room service, the management can be responsible for resolving it in accordance
with applicable laws so that service users feel not disappointed with the services provided.
