Implementation of development in the public interest according to the Basic Agrarian Law, Article 18 states
in the public interest, including the interests of the Nation and the State and the common interests of the
people, by providing appropriate compensation and in a manner regulated by law. Based on Law Number 2
of 2012 concerning Land Procurement for Development in the Public Interest. Land acquisition for
development in the public interest is an activity carried out by the government to obtain a parcel of land, by
releasing a parcel of land owned by individuals or legal entities, by providing appropriate and fair
compensation to landowners. This study discusses with the formulation of the problem and the purpose of
knowing the Implementation of Land Acquisition Implementation and Efforts to resolve Land Acquisition
disputes in the MRT project. This research was obtained from primary, secondary and tertiary legal
materials which were then analyzed in a descriptive normative manner. Implementation of Land Acquisition
in accordance with the Law namely, Planning, Preparation and Implementation Stage. In an effort to resolve
disputes concerning compensation, the Constitution as the Highest Legal Source states that Indonesia is a
State of Law, in that State of Law the equality before the law is recognized. The Judiciary as the Judicial
Branch exercises authority by adhering to the principle of impartiality. Decisions cannot be based solely on
the existence of a legal basis in the form of laws which are explained by articles alone. But also the judge s
beliefs based on his wisdom.
