Description:

Permasalahan yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini adalah mengenai kesalahan-kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh siswa kelas V dalam menulis karangan narasi dan apa yang menjadi sebab siswa melakukan kesalahan dalam menulis karangan narasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui bagaimana gambaran penggunaan kalimat efektif serta pembuatan karangan narasi yang menyebabkan kesalahan dalam penggunaan kalimat efektif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode analisis isi. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah cara mengumpulkannya berdasarkan instrumen penelitian berhubung dalam masa pandemi dilakukan secara daring. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) kalimat tanpa subjek berganda memperoleh kriteria baik dengan persentase 33% yaitu 10 siswa dari 30 siswa, (2) kalimat yang tidak berpredikat mendapatkan sangat baik dengan persentase 13% yaitu 4 siswa dari 30 siswa, (3) pemakaian kata penghubung yang tidak tepat memperoleh kriteria sangat baik dengan persentase 7% yaitu 2 siswa dari 30 siswa, (4) penyuntingan kalimat melingkar memperoleh kriteria sangat baik dengan persentase 10% yaitu 3 siswa dari 30 siswa, (5) penyuntingan kalimat tidak membosankan memperoleh kriteria sangat baik dengan persentase 10% yaitu 3 siswa dari 30 siswa, (6) kalimat berkonstruksi makna ganda memperoleh baik dengan persentase 20% yaitu 6 siswa dari 30 siswa, (7) penyuntingan kalimat mubazir mendapatkan kriteria sangat baik dengan persentase 7% yaitu 2 siswa dari 30 siswa.

The problems discussed in this study were about the mistakes made by fifth grade students in writing narrative essays and what caused students to make mistakes in writing narrative essays. This study aims to determine how to describe the use of effective sentences and make narrative essays that cause errors in the use of effective sentences. The method used in this research is content analysis method. The data collection technique is done by interview and documentation. The data analysis technique used is how to collect it based on research instruments since during a pandemic it is done online. The results showed (1) sentences without multiple subjects obtained good criteria with a percentage of 33%, namely 10 students from 30 students, (2) sentences that were not predicated got very good with a percentage of 13%, namely 4 students from 30 students, (3) word usage Inaccurate liaison obtains very good criteria with a percentage of 7%, namely 2 students from 30 students, (4) circular sentence editing obtains very good criteria with a percentage of 10%, namely 3 students out of 30 students, (5) sentence editing is not boring obtains very criteria good with a percentage of 10%, namely 3 students from 30 students, (6) sentences with multiple meaning constructs got good with a percentage of 20%, namely 6 students out of 30 students, (7) redundant sentence editing got
